Almost a month ago while over coffee with Pastor Chris Mulhare (Senior Pastor of New Hope People Church. He had offered to have me based at his church as my home church. As people close to me would know, I am big on the local church and being planted in the house. A home church is significant in the life of the believer, it is the place where we can worship, receive from, sow into and have a sense of belonging. In many ways it is a source of protection, one of the reasons of success in my ministry can be attributed to my love and commitment to the local church. I took almost 3 weeks off seeking God on this and eventually got back to Pastor Chris and took on this offer – which is a blessing to me. We chatted over coffee our visions as a church and this ministry, our faith and vision is parallel and we pursue the same things, hence in many ways establishing a partnership in the things we do.

New Hope People Church – I absolutely love you. I have been to almost 15 churches since my arrival in Australia. New Hope I could say is one of my favourite and the best I have been to so far!

Catching a 4 am flight is always annoying, you cannot sleep, you cannot oversleep so what do you do? Sleep in an uncomfortable position! I ended up sleeping at 1 am and waking up at 2 am cause I placed my legs in irregular position so that my circulation would stop after a point causing me to naturally wake up – quite bizarre I know! But if I miss this flight I do not get a refund!

Neil my faithful buddy took me off to the airport (thanks Neil – you are always awesome). At the airport I was flat out bored waiting for my NOW “delayed” flight! Bored with my iPod I began to speak in tongues until ofcourse the people around began to give me weird looks!

Upon arrival in Sydney I was picked by my brother in laws uncle – a very weird explanation of relationship I am aware! I was there to meet up with Ab, my sister’s husband who had come down from Kuwait. During the course of the week I had a couple of meetings arranged by the family I stayed with which was just awesome as most of them got to see the “FULL GOSPEL” in action for the first time.

I also got to connect with the Anglican Church and leaders and the possibility of more meetings for a future time has been discussed. I love it when I get the opportunity to minister at such ground because people are more in awe than anything – I stand in Awe of you Jesus.

One of the highlights of Sydney was my trip to Hillsong, I got to connect with a pastor there called Andrew who did bible college with Marty Sampson (how cool is that?). Andrew took me to the Sunday service which was just awesome and got me to meet with some of the leaders of the church – how awesome! Being at Hillsong was a long dream come true, as a young boy I grew up loving this church and their worship ministry to the body at large. I also learnt a lot about how the church is structured, how to administer evangelism and their primary focus.

I totally loved the service and I am more than convinced that this church is right on track with what they are called to do within Australia and the world. I did some “crazy” shopping at the Hillsong store too, how cool is this? They got their own GLORIA JEANS cafe in the church – now that is what I call a church in the will of God – HA HA!

What a heading hey? I get a form from the Queensland Government to visit and minister along with some of the precious folks in Brisbane at a women’s prison. Watch out this space. During this week I also finally obeyed the Lord and had a look at the night clubs in Brisbane. We went to “the valley”, was I shocked? Adjacent to all the clubs was a cafe, we sat there and I just saw so many lives out there, just lost, lonely, broken, depressed and close to destruction.

It was an eye opener and I realised the Lord’s purpose behind this, He was just showing me that, this is still the world we live in. Preaching the Gospel and revival, can sometimes take us to a spot of – wow we draw to the Kingdom, but as much as real that is, there is also SO many, just too many out there who have absolutely no clue about a Savior Who is alive and there to fill every empty space and heal every broken soul out there..

I pray that the burden for the lost, for the precious souls hits you this moment as you read this. We need it people, we need it to be effective for the kingdom. Not one day on this planet could pass by, for me without think about the lost souls out there who still need a healing salvation Savior….ending with a burden.

I was lost in 2 hours of stories, testimonies and wonders as he opened his mouth sharing the remarkable journey he has had with the Lord…

Steve Harris has led worship ad international events such as Rodney Howard Brown crusades and been invited to minister at Benny Hinn meetings in Australia…

Apart from such great exposure the presence upon his life was immense.. I cried for almost 15 minutes as he shared the story of how he cut off his one thumb due to an accident and was never able to play the piano. This living legends ministry and life was shattered. Making the long story short, the Lord remarkably restored his thumb – literally – the bone grew back in itself within the thumb and he was restored, renewed to a release of prophetic worship!

Yes, I feel that presence too – a lot more to share on this man!

17th August - The Departure -

Well, where do I began or should I say? End? Kuwait is right in the centre of my heart..it is where I revolve in and the place I believe God will move so powerfully! 17th July was finally here and I could not believe it myself..neither could my mom..my precious mom.

Thanks to a brother in Christ, Manoj (the benefits of working for the King!) I was able to take like 15 extra kilos on my flight. Taking 30 kilos is absolute injustice especially when you are moving to Australia.

Yea, that’s right moving, for those of you who know my story about Australia, how I believe that a revival so strong in going to happen there. For the past 8 years I have been praying for that nation and finally this year, when I was just beginning to stretch my legs and hands when it came to ministry, the Lord tells me..PACK your bags and leave! The obedience of Abraham..atleast I knew where I was going..but actually not! In the spiritual realm, I had no clue..but I knew one thing..I would have the nations for my inheritance!

At the airport, my folks, family, sis, hubby and SOG (some of the youths I have had the privilege to mentor) were there. I used the word privilege guys, it means you guys need to walk in what you are called! It was intense, yes, faisal too, my faithful buddy in all things was there, with a caramel machiatto in his hands for me..I haven’t had Starbucks coffee for the past 1.5 months since that faisal, so Good on you!

As we departed I had a letter for each of my loved ones, dad and mom, sis and her hubby and faisal. The Sog boys, prepared this HUGE card for me, with an awesome pic of me ad their love notes to me.

Bahrain

I first flew into Bahrain, where I needed to wait for 2 hours! I started fishing for my souls…I went to this guy who was serving coffee. I ordered a cup and then started sharing the gospel..I hope he took it! In Jesus name he did!

Abu Dhabi

Upon arrival at Abu Dhabi, which in my opinion is the worst airport I have ever been to in all my travelling (Sorry if you are from Abu Dhabi), I was greeted by Neil, who had flown in direct from Kuwait. We somehow got placed at the first class lounge, which in no ways I could categorise as first class, though neil and his brother had other reasons why to liked it.

Singapore

After a flight that felt like forever, we reached Singapore. I called my folks…who now went through 2 days of no Alwyn and 1.5 days of no news about me…confirming to them that I am well and good..at Singapore airport. I also got in touch with Junia Choo, a close brother and a coordinator for the ministry at Singapore. It was great talking and praying and sharing about what the Lord was doing.

I arrived Brisbane on 19th July, 8 :30 am…As soon as I arrived the spiritual atmosphere just grabbed me..I believe I have been walking in a different realm of faith and lifestyle since being here. Being positioned at locations also has a different working of God’s anointing and power.
